On offer is a complete and beautiful tusk of a juvenile Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. The tusk measures 50 cm (19.6 in) over the curve and is a truly marvellous piece. The item has a wonderful curve and on top of that has some absolutely stunning white, gold, grey and brown colouring and fantastic patterning. The item will not only be the jewel of your collection, but will also make for a very impressive addition to your home.The pictures speak for themselves! This tusk is in completely fantastic and nearly intact condition, there is just a small damage to the tip. Perfectly preserved in the Siberian permafrost, and in as found condition, with no restoration whatsoever.
This piece is truly exceptional and of great beauty and makes this a museum quality tusk. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm (3.9 inch). Tusks from juvenile mammoths are much rarer than those of adult animals. This piece has been applied with a matt finish, but it is also possible to order it with a shiny finish.
