We are proud to present this exceptionally large and fantastic composite fore leg of a very large alpha male Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. The composite fore limb consisits of a humerus, a radius/ulna and the manus (hand). All skeletal elements used are original, though found in different places and originally belonging to different but similar animals. Certain missing pieces and areas have been professionally restored with resin casts (see condition chart, last image).
All skeletal parts belonged to the Woolly Mammoth, based on their shapes and proportions. These bones are all generally in excellent state of preservation, with very minimal restoration (see chart). The bones of the leg have been professionally mounted according to the latest scientific ideas.
This piece is truly of museum quality, and much more impressive in reality than the photos can convey. Once in a lifetime opportunity and highly recommended. Truly shows how incredibly large these animals could become and highly recommended for university and museum collections.
