This rare lower jaw M2 molar belonged to a Palaeoloxodon antiquus. This was located in the right lower jaw. A crack in this molar has been professionaly repaired, but is otherwise nicely preserved and with many details remaining, as seen in the images. Much rarer than the more commonly encountered Woolly Mammoth, this good example was found in the River Rhine.
