On offer is a half tusk of a young male Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. This fantastic and very impressive piece measures 122 cm (48 inch) over the curve. This is the tip end of the tusk, the base is missing (where it attached to the skull). Although not completely intact it is still in wonderful condition, as seen in the images. This tusk piece is of beautiful ivory of mainly white, gold, brown, grey and brown colouring and with stunning patterning. A large crack has been professionally repaired, but otherwise there is no restoration whatsoever. Interestingly, part of the inner core of the tusk is visible. Fantastic piece and highly recommended. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch. This piece has been applied with a matt finish, but it is also possible to order it with a glossy finish.
Presented on a custom-made stand with dark finish and ready to display. Truly a monumental and especially displayable fossil, which will make a fantastic addition to your collection!
This fossil has been legally exported from Russia.
