On offer is an exceptionally rare half tusk that belonged to a Palaeoloxodon antiquus. Much rarer than the more commonly encountered Woolly Mammoth, this interesting piece was found in Hungary. This very rare piece is partially preserved, being the middle part of the tusk. It is of wonderful colouring of mostly gold, grey and brown ivory, and with stunning patterning. Judging from the circumference, this would have belonged to an adult animal. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch. Highly recommended for serious collectors.
