On offer is a fascinating and massive lower jaw of a Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. This lower jaw still includes the two fantastic M3 molars still firmly locked in the jaw tissue. This piece has been professionally repaired from the two original halves, but is otherwise in a superb state of conservation, as seen in the images. This jaw belonged to an adult Woolly Mammoth. Rare piece of exceptional quality, very suitable for specialized collectors or for university or museum collections. Highly recommended and much nicer "in the flesh" than in the images. This is the largest and heaviest lower jaw that we have ever had for sale. A beautiful piece and truly a work of art in its own right. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
