On offer is a fascinating and exceptionally rare lower jaw of an adult Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistcone era. Exceptionally, this extraordinary piece still includes the M1 molars, together with the consecutive M2 molars, but also with the developing M3 molars behind them; the M3 is present but not yet chewed on. The piece is well preserved and must have come from an animal which was about 30 years old when it died. Rare piece for the real collector. In many years of dealing and collecting we have rarely seen such a rare piece.
Attractively presented on a custom-made stand with a dark wood base and ready to display. Not only a fossil of great rarity, but also an object of beauty and a wonderful convesation piece.
