On offer is a beautiful and rare molar of a Brontotherium. The Brontotherium lived on the plains of North America during the Late Eocene and Early Oligocene, and resembles the modern rhinoceros. The species is known by several names, also Brontops, Titanotherium and Megacerops. This molar is in good state of preservation, as seen in the images. No restoration whatsoever. This fossil comes from an old collection and was originally found in Badlands, South Dakota. Very rare piece, wonderful for the specialized collector. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
