On offer is a superb and highly impressive skull of a Pleistocene Wisent, the predecessor of modern day American and European bison. This piece is complete with the enormous hornpits and with eight molars still locked in the jaw tissue. This piece has been very professionally restored from the original pieces, and a few pieces from the skull of a similar animal have been added. The top of the right hornpit has been restored in resin, but all these restorations have been invisibly done to the naked eye. A remarkable item which will surely make for a wonderful display piece! The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
Attactively presented on a custom-made stand with dark finish and ready to display.
