Irish elk was one of the most impressive creatures to inhabit the North Sea area. Its amazing antlers could grow to enormous sizes and are among the most sought after and expensive fossils. On offer is a large portion of the cranium of this animal, including two partially preserved antlers. The cranium is not complete (as they rarely are), but is in nice condition. No restoration whatsoever. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
Presented on a custom-made stand with wooden base with dark finish, and ready to display.
