On offer is a wonderful partial cranium with partial huge antler of a male Irish Elk from the Pleistocene era. A partial fossil as seen in the images, but otherwise still excellent condition. Very displayable and impressive piece and very rare to have so much of the antler surviving. Irish Elk was one of the most impressive creatures to inhabit the North Sea area. Its amazing antlers could grow to enormous sizes and are among the most sought after and expensive fossils. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
