Irish Elk was one of the most impressive creatures to inhabit the North Sea area. Its amazing antlers could grow to enormous sizes and are among the most sought after and expensive fossils. On offer is a large portion of the skull of this animal, professionally repaired from the original pieces - these fragile fossils are rarelyfound completely intact.The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
