On offer is a beautiful ulna or elbow bone of a Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. This is a beautiful piece in good condition with many details of anatomy beautifully intact. No restoration whatsoever. The ulna is one of the mammoth's most impressive bones. Just like that of humans, it was located in the animal's front, lower legs and it thus had to support the animals massive weight, including that of its enormous tusks. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 in.
