On offer is this extremely rare and fantastic skull of a European Pleistocene brown bear or Ursus arctos. We cannot stress enough how rare fossils from this impressive species are. Most bear fossils which are offered on the market are of cave bears, but this is the much rarer brown bear. Slightly damaged condition, but still overall in excellent state of preservation, and still includes six of the original molars, as seen in the images. Truly a museum quality item - in many years of dealing we have rarely seen a similar piece. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9inch.
This fossil has been legally exported from Russia and is accompanied by all appropriate paperwork.
Shipping: US$ 25 for the European Union, US$ 35 for the rest of the world.
